KNRM

Survival One, part of the Survitec Group of companies, is delighted to announce that it has concluded a framework agreement with the Royal Dutch Rescue Organisation (KNRM) to design, manufacture and service a fully integrated Constant Wear Immersion Suit package.

The initial order consists of 750 new suits to replace KNRM’s legacy system. KNRM will start to take delivery of the new systems in early 2012.

Teaming up with Netherlands based Poseidon B.V. Survival One has worked closely with KNRM throughout the product development phase to create a comprehensive range of top quality equipment. In addition the on-going requirements of the package will include a robust maintenance programme.

Immersion SuitGreg Allanach, MD of Survival One commented "This is an important contract for Survival One as it builds a new relationship with the Royal Dutch Rescue Organisation and demonstrates our ability to successfully partner with other industry leading providers such as Poseidon B.V. This very much reinforces our proud position as a leading supplier of safety equipment to the Aviation and Maritime markets." Ted van Linden, MD of Poseidon B.V. added "This contract cements our long lasting relationship with the Royal Dutch Rescue Organisation. Through constant innovation and application of new technologies, Poseidon is the leading supplier of product solutions to the most demanding users."

The new systems will be used by Search and Rescue crew members providing instant response to emergency situations on and in the water.

There are 42 rescue stations covering the entire Dutch Coast and over 1100 voluntary rescuers providing a 24/7 professional rescue operation.

The suit uses the very latest in technical textile technology to produce unequalled performance. The integral liner uses nano and 3D technology to provide an internal heat management system that controls the microclimate inside the suit, along with an integrated life preserver and next generation LED Stobe Light and Safety Knife, combined with design features specific to KNRM’s operational requirements to produce a state of the art survival system.
